The short version
This page is for CumLaude Study, published by Marlon Honeywell. You can delete your
account and everything in it yourself, from inside the app, in about ten seconds. It happens
immediately — there is no waiting period, no review, and no way to undo it.
Delete it from inside the app
- Open CumLaude and sign in.
- Tap Extras in the bottom bar, then Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tap it a second time to confirm — the button changes to
"Tap again to permanently delete your account".
Your account is erased at that moment and you are signed out. If you want a copy of your work
first, use Settings → Export my data before you delete.
If you cannot get into the app
Email support@cumlaudestudy.com from the address
you signed up with, with the subject Delete my account. We delete the account and reply to
confirm, within 30 days and usually within a few days. We may ask you to confirm from that address
before deleting, so that nobody else can delete your account.
What is deleted
Everything tied to your account, permanently and at once:
- Your account itself — your email address and sign-in credentials.
- Your coursework: courses, exams, dates, topics, goals, grades, assignments, flashcards,
practice decks, brain-dumps, focus sessions and your weekly time budget.
- Your study-group memberships, your display name and readiness percentage, the messages you
sent in group rooms, and any deadlines or study sessions you had shared with a group.
- Any blocks or reports you filed, and your record of AI question generation.
- The copy held on your own device, which is erased at the same moment.
If you created a study group, deleting your account deletes that group — its room, its
messages and its shared calendar — for everyone in it. Hand the group to someone else first if you
want it to survive.
What is kept, and for how long
- A report somebody else filed about you is kept so it can still be acted on, but your
account is unlinked from it when you delete — the record no longer identifies you.
- Your purchase history lives with Apple or Google, not with us. Deleting your CumLaude
account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play, or it keeps
renewing.
Nothing else is retained, and there is no additional retention period. We keep no backups of
deleted accounts, so nothing can be restored afterwards.
